September
September was a pretty slow month for us. We didn't have any trips, which is odd for us. Corey had a birthday. He turned 41! He thinks he is getting old but I think he still looks great and acts as young as the kids :) I made him a cake and Cora helped decorate it. Other than sing and eat cake, it was an uneventful birthday.
This was the month that Renner started at "Cowboy School". He had started at Getz preschool at the beginning of the year as a peer student. If you know Renner, you know that didn't work out in his favor. He is a wonderful, smart, loving kid. He just has his dad's energy and he marches to the beat of a drum no one else hears! So, Cowboy School it is! We will probably try Getz again next year. This picture is his first day there.
October
October was a fun month. We made a quick weekend trip to Minnesota to pick some apples and enjoy a true fall season! The kids had a blast playing in all the leaves and just enjoying great friends and great weather!
Angie's kids and my kids enjoying the apples fresh from the trees! |
Here are the kids and I in the apple orchard. |
Cora and Kyle worked really hard to gather leaves to jump in and bury each other in! |
The kids played in the river and Renner fell down unexpectedly and got wet. He wasn't too happy about it so Cora helped him out of the water. |
Renner loved his apples so much, he slept with them after we got home from Minnesota! |
Corey and some of his friends from work took their families on a day trip to the beach in Santa Barbara. Corey was a little nervous about taking them by himself but he did a great job and they all had a bunch of fun!
Our kids all play sports and their season starts in October. This was Renner's first season playing and it was not too bad. He played T-ball but he has an awful lot of energy. It was really hard to play outfield and wait to bat. Next season he will be doing soccer ;) Sayer loves baseball and this was his frist season doing coach pitch. He is a natural and really loves playing. Cora plays soccer and really enjoys it. She is getting really good too!Next up in October is Halloween! Cora went as Batgirl, Sayer was a soldier and Renner was Spiderman. We carved pumpkins and went trick or treating. Those are our usual Halloween traditions.
Whew! October was busy! I am not sure how I lived it being pregnant and tired! It makes me exhausted just writing about it!
November
This was an uneventful month compared to October. Cora had her piano recital. She is doing a great job learning to play. She makes us proud!
Carrie, Halley, and Jill gave me a baby shower. It was a lot of fun to celebrate our new baby girl. Girl's clothes are so cute! It got me excited to meet my little one. Carrie and I made the cake for the shower. It was our first attempt at using fondant. I thought it turned out really cute, but then again I am a little biased.
The cake! |
The belly! And to think it got SO much bigger in the month following this! |
You are on the go a lot and your kids stay busy too! I am not pregnant and tired but it made me tired all the things you do. Hope you are well.
